FINTEC recruit endeavours to ensure that the information that you submit to us remains private, and that it is used only for the purposes described below. We aim to provide a safe and secure experience for all of our users. We make every effort to comply with our obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Additionally, we understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of your CV and other information stored about you while using the site.

The following policy is written in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (the “GDPR”), and describes the type of personal data we collect, how we use it and store it, with whom we share it and the rights and choices you have regarding your data and our use of it. The information we collect and how we use it:- FINTEC recruit operates as an employment agency, providing introductions between candidates and clients (employers) for employment by those clients. In order to do this, we collect personal data about you through job applications; on our website (www.fintecrecruit.co.uk); on the job boards we use currently or in the future; on social media channels; through phone calls and emails. We process this data as necessary to provide the services you have requested. Any data requested will be used in the process of helping you find a job; continuing our relationship with you once we have found you a job. Also, for clients in providing a service and for Suppliers in receiving a service. All activity relating to recruitment purposes only. We may collect and process the following personal data about you:

  • Your contact information; name, email address, phone number(s) and postal address.
  • Information contained within your resume or C.V.
  • Information you provide regarding your career interests, and qualifications
  • If required by employers, we may collect and process additional personal data including:

o Nationality o Passport o Work visas/ right to work permits o Employer references

  • We collect and process all data in compliance with all applicable legislation.

We do NOT share any personal data with third party organisations without your explicit consent.

Please note that the above list of categories of personal data we may collect is not exhaustive.

Depending on the relevant circumstances and applicable local laws and requirements, we may collect some or all of the information listed to enable us to offer you employment opportunities which are relevant to you.

We may obtain information about you from searching for potential Candidate from third party sources, such as LinkedIn and other job sites;

If you ‘like’ our page on Facebook or ‘follow’ us on Twitter, we will receive your personal information from those sites;

If you were referred to us via a recruitment process outsourcing organisation/supplier, they may share personal information about you with us.

We may use information held about you in the following ways:

If you have registered your CV on any of the job boards:

o To contact you about future jobs that may be of interest

o To assess your suitability, qualifications and skills for future roles

o To match your details with job vacancies

o To answer your enquiries

o To subscribe to job alerts

o To maintain a working business relationship

If you have applied for a specific advertised job:

o For further contact about the role

o The administration of your application

o For the purpose of assessing your suitability, qualification and skills

o After speaking with you; to submit your CV and personal data to the prospective employer

o To answer your enquiries

o To obtain and pass on references

o To subscribe to job alerts

o To maintain a working business relationship

 

Access to your personal data is only provided to our staff and where necessary we may pass your personal data to third parties for reasons set out below:

to intended employers – NOTE submissions to employers will be for a valid and specific role and will be agreed by you prior to being submitted on your behalf.

o CV’s are anonymised to remove all contact details prior to sending, including National Insurance, Passport numbers, date of birth etc

  • We may also release personal information to regulatory or law enforcement agencies, if they require us to do so.

We will also disclose your information where we are permitted and requested to do so by law.

 

Clients (Employers):

We require your contact details or the details of individual contacts at your organisation (such as their names, telephone numbers and email address), to enable us to process job applications. We use information about you, or individuals at your organisation, in the course of providing you with candidates who are interested in working for your organisation, who match vacancy criteria and a good fit for your organisation.

Suppliers:

We require contact details of relevant individuals at your organisation so that we can communicate with you, such as names, telephone numbers and email addresses. We also may require additional information such as bank details so that we can pay for the services you provide (if this is part of the contractual arrangements between us). Other Users, such as referees and emergency contacts: In order to provide candidates and staff with suitable employment opportunities, we require some basic background information (such as name, email address and telephone number). We only ask for very basic contact details, so that we can get in touch with you either for a reference or because you are listed as an emergency contact for a candidate.

Storing your data

  • You have the “right to be forgotten”, which means that you can request us to delete and stop processing your data at any time. o Any request should be emailed to customerservice@fintecrecruit.co.uk and should include your full name and email address.

o This request will be actioned within 1 month and will include us removing all your data from our systems.

o Please note, that by doing this, we cannot guarantee that in the future, any data which we obtain from third parties will not result in your data being re-added to our systems.

  • Alternatively, you can request to be “supressed”, which means that your data is stripped to the basics required to ensure we do not contact you or re-add you to our systems in the future.
  • By doing either of these, you will be withdrawn from all active applications. Accessing and updating your personal data You are entitled to view and retrieve the personal data we store about you. You are also entitled to update or rectify any missing, out of date or incorrect information we hold about you. Any requests for this should be emailed to

customerservice@fintecrecruit.co.uk and include your full name and email address. Any requests will be actioned within 1 month.

Where we store your data Your personal data is stored on a secure database, and in email systems (outlook) all of which is on secure, password protected PC’s.

Jobseeker Account and CV information

When you register and apply direct to companies for vacancies with FINTEC recruit your details, including your CV, can be made available for searching, viewing over the Internet and downloading by any direct Recruiter/Hiring Manager, Employment Consultant or other person or organisation who requests CVs matching your profile to be sent to them. FINTEC recruit attempts to verify the identity and the nature of the business of such organisations however does not make any warranties as to their authenticity.

 

Your personal information

When you register with us as a jobseeker we will process your personal data on the basis set out in this policy, as it is in our legitimate interests to do so following your registration. We will collect personal information from you, such as your name, contact details, details of the kind of work you are looking for, the location where you want to work and your CV. We will use your personal data to manage your account and to email you about our services which includes job alerts and emails about courses that are relevant to your fields of interest. We may contact you regarding site changes or changes to the FINTEC recruit products or services that you use.

Your continued use of our website indicates your consent to any changes we make to this notice but please continue to visit this page to view any updates.

 

Disclosure of personal information

When you register, we store some information about you in your account, but it is protected by your password and may only be accessed by you. It does not form part of our candidate database and cannot be searched or accessed by FINTEC recruit customers. You can delete your account at any time. Your CV will be accessible to the Organisation or Company Hiring Manager where you have applied direct for a position or by FINTEC recruit Consultants only. You can delete your personal account any time you choose not to continue being registered with FINTEC recruit in receiving Job Alerts, Notifications on Job tips or Training etc.

Please do not submit your personal information to us if you do not want us to collect it.

We ask jobseekers not to include information on their CV that is considered sensitive personal data, for example your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, your health, sex life or sexual orientation. Do not include on your CV your National Insurance number or any personal banking details.

If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database, we rely on you to ensure that your details are kept up to date. You should update your CV at least every six months, particularly if your contact details have changed.

Please note that FINTEC recruit reserves the right to remove from our database, CVs which include any content that we consider to be illegal or offensive.

We may record and share aggregated information with our clients. Additionally, if you input your information on a co-branded registration page or job application page, eg a FINTEC recruit client-company registration page then the information that you give becomes the property of both FINTEC recruit and the client. FINTEC recruit is not responsible for the information that the client receives.

FINTEC recruit will also use the aggregate data to identify employment trends across different industries, such as salary averages. This information will not be capable of being linked to any personally identifying information about users.

We may from time to time require to transfer personal data outside the UK but will only do so where either you request it or provide consent.

Please be aware that some of our customers may be located in countries outside of the United Kingdom.

PLEASE NOTE: Your current employer may be a customer of FINTEC recruit, or a client of one of our customers. FINTEC recruit cannot restrict the customers in registering on our site and post out jobs access profiles on our database and FINTEC recruit cannot be held responsible for any eventuality.

Information collection and use

IP Logging

Like many websites, we routinely capture your IP address information to determine your general location.

This is anonymous in nature and is never linked to your Jobseeker Account or CV Information.

Capturing your IP address information helps us work out whether you are visiting the site from within the UK and overseas and means we can show you content that’s specific to your location and ask the right questions about your eligibility to work in the UK should you wish to apply for a job on FINTEC recruit. FINTEC recruit automatically receives and records information on our web server logs from your browser including your IP address. FINTEC recruit records IP addresses for anonymous statistical purposes, administration of our website and servers, and to improve our services.

An IP address, or ‘internet protocol address’, is a unique identifying number given to every device connected to the internet. Like a car license plate, an IP address is a special serial number used for identification.

Google Maps

FINTEC recruit may use Google Maps API in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Information may be gathered from your registration form and your use of our website through “cookies”. The information gathered may be used by FINTEC recruit internally, for purposes relating to your use of the website and for marketing activities and may be passed to carefully selected third parties to use for marketing activities. If you do not wish to receive marketing material from FINTEC recruit you should tick the appropriate box on the registration form. If you subsequently decide you no longer wish to receive Job Alerts for information from FINTEC recruit

you can untick your choices on your personal FINTEC recruit registered account or you can delete your CV and account/record at any time or you can notify us using the Contact page of our website.

FINTEC recruit may set and access cookies on your computer. You can choose whether or not to accept cookies, however, if you do not accept FINTEC recruit cookies, some of our services may not be available to you. More information about FINTEC recruit cookies can be found in our Cookie Policy. This policy does not apply to companies that FINTEC recruit does not own or control, or to people that FINTEC recruit does not employ.

FINTEC may use specific cookie to facilitate the use of Google Universal Analytics for logged in Candidates or Recruiters (“Logged-In User”). If you are a Logged-In User, FINTEC recruit may use your Candidate or Recruiter user ID in combination with Google Universal Analytics and Google Analytics to track and analyse the pages of FINTEC recruit that you visit. We do this to better understand how you use FINTEC recruit, with the aim of improving FINTEC recruit for all users. We do not pass any Logged-In User personal identification information to Google Analytics.

Tracking Pixels in Emails

Much like around 40% of emails sent worldwide, FINTEC recruit may use tracking pixels in some of the emails which we may send you. A tracking pixel is a small, invisible image inserted into FINTEC recruit emails which we use to measure the performance and effectiveness of our emails.

We collect this information anonymously for statistical reporting and do not use it to tailor our marketing or sales activity towards any individual.

We use a pixel provided by Google Analytics to determine the effectiveness of our messages in attracting traffic to our website.

Emails from FINTEC recruit

If you choose to join FINTEC recruit, you will receive email communications from us. You will receive essential communications, but on registering will also be given the option to receive ‘Job Alerts’ and ‘Updates.’

Essential Communications

We will send you messages that we consider necessary to meet our legal obligations and your expectations of us, including about your account, application confirmations and documentation relating to purchases of our HEAD START or MANAGED SERVICE add – on / products.

In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, if you do not wish to receive emails of this nature, you should not use FINTEC recruit and you can close /delete your FINTEC recruit account at any time.

Job Alerts

Job Alerts are bespoke notifications of the latest jobs available on our site which match your search criteria. They could include:

Job Alerts

These will be sent to you every day, unless no new jobs matching your criteria have been posted since your last Alert. If you choose to set-up multiple Job Alerts, you will receive each of these separately every day.

You can change which Job Alerts you receive at any time via your Account/ Dashboard. You can also un-tick Job Alerts for a set period if you decide to pause your job search, or can stop receiving Job Alerts altogether if you so choose – this can also be done via your Account/Dashboard.

Updates

Updates are emails/messages from FINTEC recruit which help you to progress in your job search, provide tips, motivational advice and additional suggestions. They could include:

Reminders

Application summaries and notifications of any requests from recruiters/Hiring Managers. We’ll also give you a nudge if you’ve not checked-in for a while to keep you active in your search.

Improve Your Prospects

We work with experts to offer great advice in improving your CV or career path. We’ll let you know about these services every now and then.

You can change which Job Alerts you receive at any time via your Account/ Dashboard or you can unsubscribe from messages from us.

Statistical information

FINTEC recruit may gather general information about users, for example, what services users access the most and which areas of the FINTEC recruit site are most frequently visited, the number of CVs on the database, or the number of visitors to the site and for other lawful purposes. Such data is used in the aggregate to help us to understand how the FINTEC recruit site is used. We gather this information so that we can continue to improve and develop our services to benefit our users. We may make this aggregated information available to users of the FINTEC recruit site, to our clients, advertisers, suppliers and other reputable third parties. These statistics are anonymous and contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.

Security

The site is protected against unauthorised access using the latest security devices and ‘firewalls’.
